The year was over, the work was complete, and all that remained was the final performance of Alice in Wonderland.
Unfortunately, I was unable to take many photographs myself, as my attention was largely focused on getting into costume, preparing for the performance and, of course, actually performing. This was another useful reminder that costume exists as more than a static object. Once worn, it becomes part of the character and the performance, and my attention naturally shifted from documenting the costume to experiencing it.
Fortunately, the rest of the group more than made up for my lack of photographs and captured plenty of moments from the event. These images provide a record of the costumes in use and show how they functioned within the wider performance environment.
